Tesla test drive: try a Tesla before you buy

A short test drive shows you what a Tesla feels like. Whether it really fits your life, though, only becomes clear after a few days: on your commute, on the weekly shop, on a drive into the mountains and at your first charging stop. At EV-Adventure you can rent a Tesla Model 3, Model Y or Model X for a weekend, a week or several months and test it in your own everyday life. We are a Swiss Tesla rental company and deliver the car to your home in German-speaking Switzerland free of charge.

Choose your test period

Why renting shows you more than a test drive

• Your everyday life, not a test lap: does the car fit your garage, your parking space and your routes? After a few days you will know.
• Try charging: you can charge at all Tesla Superchargers. The navigation plans charging stops for you, and we pass on the costs 1:1 after the rental with no mark-up.
• Range in your weather: how far you get depends on route, speed and temperature. A rental shows you on your own roads.
• No kilometre limit: within Switzerland you can drive as much as you like, including the long test drive over a mountain pass.
• The whole family can try it: additional drivers are free. Just tell us their names and driving licences before the rental starts.

Model 3, Model Y or Model X: which Tesla suits you?

• Tesla Model 3 from CHF 95 per day: a sporty, efficient saloon, ideal for two to four people.
• Tesla Model Y from CHF 110 per day: the versatile SUV with a big boot, popular with families. With the DreamCase mattress you can even sleep in it, see Tesla Camping.
• Tesla Model X at CHF 140 per day: seven seats, Falcon Wing doors and plenty of room for groups.

How to test properly: our checklist

• Drive your commute at rush hour, there and back.
• Plan a longer motorway drive with a stop at a Supercharger.
• Park in your garage or space and check the room and getting in and out.
• Load the pushchair, bike or sports gear, everything that regularly comes along.
• Unlock and start the car with the Tesla app on your smartphone.
• Bring along everyone who will use the car later.

A weekend, a week or a month?

A weekend is enough for a first impression. The rental price is charged per started 24 hours, and from 3 rental days a duration discount applies, shown in the booking process. Want to know how a Tesla copes with weeks of everyday use, in winter too? Then our long-term rental from one month is the better choice. On a long-term rental the Model 3 works out from CHF 35 per day, including comprehensive insurance, summer and winter tyres, the motorway vignette and delivery and collection.

Choose your test period now

In the booking calendar you choose your pick-up and return dates and see the available cars and prices. We deliver free of charge to any address in German-speaking Switzerland (except Upper Valais) or hand the Tesla over at Zurich Airport. The car is ready with at least 85 per cent battery. Comprehensive insurance is included; the excess is CHF 1,000 per claim, or CHF 3,000 under 25.
